The CTS (copper tubing size) is a controlled outside diameter that uses the brass compression fittings. CTS is the most common means of bringing water from the meter to the structure, it carries a pressure rating of 250 PSI and has a nice thick sidewall that is most often used as a direct burial product.
The SIDR or commonly referred to IPS (Iron pipe size) is a controlled inside diameter and uses the barbed insert fittings with screw clamps. The SIDR comes in various PSI ratings as well, it is available in various lengths typically up to 500' length--we are growing our inventory of SIDR as we speak.
